2005 PRS Standard 24, 20th Anniversary, Mahogany (Sold)
Near Mint Condition. The 20th anniversary guitars made by PRS were a perfect tribute to the companies relatively short but storied legacy. In 1985 Paul Reed Smith was making two guitars. One he called the "Paul Reed Smith Guitar" -- this would later become the Standard 24. The other he called the "Paul Reed Smith Custom" -- this would become the Custom 24. Both were honored in 2005.
This guitar features "birds in flight" inlays (green ripple abalone and mother-of-pearl) that are only found on 20th anniversary models. The 20th Anniversary Standard was also the first ever PRS with a matte nitro finish and they did a great job with it. These '05 Standard spawned a whole line of PRS "Satin Finsh" instruments.
