2007 PRS 513, Santana Yellow (Sold)
Mint Condition. New Old Stock. This top-of-the-line Paul Reed Smith is dead mint and has never been owned. It was purchased from a music store that was liquidating and going out of business. It is in absolutely perfect condition and has only been out of its case for a setup. With razor sharp action and huge arsenal of tones this guitar is simply stunning.
In addition to extended 25.5" scale and 513 bird inlays which are only found on this model (see pics below), this guitar has a unique and incredible pickup system (patents applied for). Vintage Guitar Magazine states that "Not since Leo was at the helm of G&L has a major guitar manufacturer offered a model with a truly new pickup system, but with the 513, PRS does just that." 5 single coils pickups in a 2-1-2 configuration, a 5-way blade and a 3-way blade all add up to 13 distinct tones (hence the name 513, 5 pickups, 13 sounds).

The PRS 513 is the only guitar to date to win a MIPA award two years in a row (2005 & 2006). Although it has only been around since 2001, MIPA is an annual event where dozens of magazines from all over the world get together to vote for the best instruments and products accross multiple categories. As Paul himself stated: "It's not a consumer popularity award. It's also not an award from a single magazine that might be slanted by advertising dollars. And because nobody knows who voted for whom, it's pretty honest."
